Here is a collection of photographs of various people from the Hagell Family Tree.

This photo is one of my Grandfather, Alfred Frederick Hagell and some of his fishing friends. 

Grampy Fred was a great outdoors man. Loved to fish brook trout and hunt pheasants.  

I suppose there were no fishing limits in the old days.

 My Grand father was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion. 

He was actually a branch president at one time years ago.

Robert Charles Hagell Sr. (my Father) during the Second World War. 

He served over seas in France and Belgium in a tank division. 

My Mother, Irene Lena Purdy (Hagell) of Malagash, Nova Scotia. 

Mom was a Nursing Sister in the Army here in Canada. 

Later in life she took up nursing again in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. Mom was a descendant of the Purdys of White Plains, NY, USA. There were United Empire Loyalist who came to Nova Scotia after the War of Independence in the USA.

Here is a photo of one cover of the book by  Edward Frederick Hagell. 

The symbols are that of various brands used to mark livestock.

A cigar box left by my Grandfather, Frederick Alfred Hagell, contained letters from his sister, Lillian Hagell (Church)

Here is a photo of the letters from Lillian Church (Hagell) of Michigan, USA to her brother, 

Alfred Frederick Hagell of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada found inside the Cigar Box. 

Frederick Alfred Hagell of Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. He is my Great Grandfather. 

He married Lavinia Ager. 

This couple are the ancestors of the Hagell branch in Nova Scotia.

My Father Robert Charles Hagell and his Father, Alfred Frederick Hagell. This photo was taken at Shubenacadie Lake also known as Grand Lake, about 30km north of Halifax, Nova Scotia on the main road.  Grampy Fred use to have a cottage there. 

My Father, Robert Charles Hagell Sr. in younger days. According to the plate, the year was 1941. Dad would be about 19 years old in this photo. Taken before Dad joined the army in WW2.

Victor Knell is Carmel T Reisinger's Father. He is also the great grandson of Charles Booth and Caroline Hagell. The Knells are from Australia. Photo submitted by: Carmel Reisinger.

My Grandfather, Alfred Frederick Hagell became a member of the Masonic Lodge. This certificate tell the details of where and when he joined. My Grandfather was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and was the president of a local branch in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

A military certificate for my Grandfather, Alfred Frederick Hagell for his becoming a militia member of the  

83rd Hants Regiment. A.F. Hagell joined on July 1st, 1917.

The following four pictures are from an old souvenir book I picked up at an antique shop in 2009 in Great Village, Nova Scotia. It is part of the Wyndham Series of books entitled "33 Views of Dover, Folkstone, Hythe, Sandgate, Canterbury, & co.." No date or publishing information is provided although there are no motor vehicles of any type in the photos, just horses and carriages. 

While looking at the illustrations in the book I can just imagine members of the Hagell family, generations past, visiting or living there, going about their daily lives.
