ROBERT ALONZO HAGELL
ROBERT ALONZO HAGELL was born on April 19th, 1911 in ONTARIO, CANADA.
ROBERT ALONZO's father was CHARLES JAMES HAGELL and his mother was ALICE SMITH. He had two brothers and a sister, named JOSEPH WILLIAM HAGELL, JAMES GRANT HAGELL and MARGARET AMELIA.
He was the oldest of the four children.
He died at the age of 79 on November 16th, 1990 in AYLMER, ONTARIO. He was buried in SPRINGFORD, ONTARIO, CANADA.
HAGELL, Merle Kathleen (JENEREAUL)
Peacefully surrounded by her family in her 91st year, Merle Kathleen (JENEREAUL) HAGELL passed away at the Woodingford Lodge, Tillsonburg.
Born in Brownsville, November 14, 1913 to Rebecca (PURDY) and Ross JENEREAUL.
Predeceased by her husband and best friend for 57 years, Alonzo HAGELL (1990).
Survived by daughter Ruth STEELE (Eric); Betty LINDSAY (Don) and son James HAGELL (Sharon).
Merle lived most of her life in Corinth where she was a member of Corinth United Church and the United Church Women When the church closed, she joined Brownsville United Church.
Merle was survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 1 grandson, Grant HAGELL and 2 great-grandchildren, Michael and Tiffany LING,
2 sisters Mildred TANNER and Doris GOWDY; six brothers Clarence JENEREAUL; Arthur, George, Jack, Harry, and Lyle WHITECROFT.
Friends will be received at the Ostrander's Funeral Home Chapel, Tillsonburg on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Hyuk CHO of Brownsville United Church officiating assisted by Rev. Gary SHUTTLEWORTH of St. Paul's United Church. Interment in the Springford Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Brownsville United Church and Woodingford Lodge - Tillsonburg would be appreciated by the family.

"I can remember Alonzo and Merle Hagell arriving in Truro in 1976 while they were visiting the Maritimes. They stopped in to our house on Willow St. I am not sure how they knew other Hagells were living in Truro. Perhaps some relative told them or perhaps they checked the phone book for Hagells as they were traveling through". / bwh
